NEW FEATURE AND SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY OFFER- With popular on-line auctions adding more restrictions and hiking their fees I've decided to start offering a service where people with bayonets and other militaria to sell can list them on this web page for a fraction of auction fees and where they will not be dictated to about what they can buy and sell and to whom.  I hope this service is going to prove especially useful to our British collecting bretheren who have recently been disenfranchised by that big auction service who shall not be mentioned here.  Please read the details of this new program below.  I will begin posting these ads as soon as I have a few to post.  All ads posted during August will be left up for the entire month of September as a special introductory bonus offer.

Why pay outrageous auction fees and have the big auction sites meddling in your transactions and placing ridiculous and complicated limitations on what you can sell to who and how you accept payment?  I have one of the world's best established bayonet web sites and now you can take advantage of my good search engine placement and targeted bayonet collector traffic.  FOR $6 OR LESS you can advertise your bayonet for sale FOR 30 DAYS!  Absolutely no other fees!  Sell outright or conduct your own auction however you like, it's up to you.  I don't offer any peripheral services, just a good place to offer your bayonets for sale without excessive fees or interference.

User Agreement- All I am offering here is ad space with well established bayonet buyer traffic.  Your transactions are strictly between you and your buyers or sellers.  By using this service to buy, sell, trade or engage in any other type of activity you agree to hold me harmless and without any responsibility at all with regard to any incident or activity resulting from your use of this service.

For individual bayonets listed separately:
$6 for the first bayonet and $5 for each additional bayonet per listing group.
List 6 individual bayonets at one time for $25 (All 6 must be emailed to me together to be included in one single charge)

List a group of bayonets in a "LOT" being sold for a single price for $10 plus $1 per bayonet in the lot.  (Example: The fee to list a collection of 25 bayonets sold together as a lot would be $35 ($10 plus 25 x $1)

All payments are in US Dollars.  Payment by MC or Visa in advance is preferred.  If you would prefer to send a check or MO in advance instead that will work too but your ads will not be posted until checks (USA ONLY) or commercial MOs clear.  US and Canada Postal MOs will not need to be held for clearance.

Your Classified Ads will remain active for at least 30 days from the date I post them.  After that I will take them down as soon as I can get to it so they may stay up as long as 5 weeks.

Your ad must include description of the item and your contact information at a minimum.  Include your name and email address and it would not hurt to include your phone number and geographic location if you want to receive phone contact.

PICTURES- You should include links to pictures in the same way you see in my own regular listings.  I do not offer image hosting services so you will need to choose an image hosting service to use if you don't have your own web space.  If you don't think you already have web space to host your own pictures please check with your internet service provider.  Most of them do provide you with adequate web space for this as part of your account and many even offer tech support to help you learn to access it.

When you email your ads to me include the URLs to your images the way you see them in my own ads.  I will cut and paste your ads directly from your email onto my web site and the links will automatically transfer as live links.

PRICES- It's up to you how you want to approach this issue.  I offer you 3 possible suggestions below but you can certainly do whatever you like in your ad:

-Offered Price - Indicate that you may be willing to negotiate.  This will be especially useful if you have several bayonets listed and are willing to "make a deal" on a couple of them together.

-FIRM Price

-Make Offer - Use this option instead of an auction.  Let's you decide to accept, reject or wait to see if you get a better offer.  Indicate a price level that is too low to be considered if you want to establish a starting point.  You can even call it an auction and set an ending date for bids to be received.

YOUR PAYMENT AND SHIPPING TERMS- Make your own terms any way you see fit.  You can include them in your ads or just wait until potential buyers contact you and make arrangements with them at that time.

LIMITATIONS ON YOUR AD CONTENT- Make your ad as long or short as you like but keep it about selling your items.  I will not edit your ads for any reason BUT I retain the right to refuse to post any ad at my own discretion.  If you submit an ad that contains a bunch of material that has nothing to do with selling your item I will probably reject it.  If you want to spout politics, religion, cooking hints, the merits of cats vs.dogs or other unrelated commentary please do that on an appropriate forum elsewhere.

Links to other websites besides those of your hosted images will not be accepted.

Make sure your dealings are legal for both you and your buyer.  I'm not responsible for deciding what you can sell or buy BUT if you submit an ad offering something blatantly illegal like heroine, cocaine, kiddie porn, enriched uranium or nerve gas you can expect me to reject your ad.

Items offered must be bayonets or bayonet related such as other military items.  I am not offering ad space for non-military items at present so if you want to sell political buttons, coins and hummel figurines you'll have to find another place for them to go.

Ads for OBVIOUSLY fake items that are intentionally portrayed as genuine will be rejected.  I have no intention of being the judge of questionable items and will only reject ads for very obvious fraud.

1) Choose your payment method and send payment in advance.  Either send your Check or MO to me ahead of time or pay right away with MC or Visa.  (see SAFE data transmission instructions here) If you want to pay by mail just email me your ads and I'll email you back an invoice for the amount to send and where to send it.  I'll post your ads after payment has been received and cleared.

Upon receipt/clearance of payment I will just copy your ads from your email and paste them into my web page classifieds section.  I'll send you an email invoice confirming the charges and providing the target starting date for your ad.

I plan to post all new ads on the same day once each week.  I will also send out an update notice to my mailing list of potential buyers each time new ads are posted.

Please note that because I get my internet connection by satellite I cannot always guarantee I can post ads at a specific time and date.  If it's raining, snowing or even very foggy here it knocks out the connection.  This does not affect the ads once they have been posted to the server and you may be assured that server outages are extremely rare.  For those of you who are curious I am using GoDaddy to host my websites and I have been VERY pleased with their service for the past several years now.
