12964 GEW1888 Double Edged bayonet. WKC ricasso marking. SEE LISTING UNDER CHINA
13209 S98/05aA bayonet with scabbard. SIMSON & CO. SUHL W14 Nice high ears with no flashguard. Blade sharpened but not ground. Otherwise shows age but not abuse and not badly worn. Nice example and all correct WWI issue.
13247 S71/84 dress bayonet with scabbard and frog. Unmarked, plated. Functional bayonet.
13594 S98/05nA bayonet with scabbard. ACT. GES. VORM. FRISTER & ROSSMANN BERLIN W17. Blade is unsharpened. There is a number "32" added to the scabbard body and a number "2" added to the spine in a slightly different font. Scabbard has pitting and blade has some spots of old pitting.
13851 S98/05nAmSabg Sawback removed bayonet with scabbard. WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER W17 spine mark.
13986 S98nA Quillback bayonet with scabbard. BAVARIAN "O 05" spine mark and "VC SCHILLING SUHL" ricasso mark. Bavarian unit mark on crossguard is "B.3.R.5.203." Scabbard is not matching and has unit mark "19.R.8.150."
13992 S98/05nAmS Sawback bayonet with scabbard. WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CIE SOLINGEN with W16 spine mark.
14030 S98/05 bayonet FROG ONLY. Pocket rivets missing and reinforced with added stitching. Faint unit mark on back reads Pb 85 as best I can tell which I believe is police.
14071 S98nA Quillback bayonet with scabbard. SAXON FA 07 VC SCHILLING SUHL. Scabbard throat is unit marked "181.R.5.232." which is a regular Saxon infantry unit (If I am reading Jeff Noll's book correctly)
14243 S71/84 DRESS bayonet. Alex Coppel SCALES on ricasso. FUNCTIONAL bayonet mounts and dismounts smoothly. Plated with some flaking. Blade has been sharpened.
14312 S98/08nA bayonet with scabbard. BAVARIAN L17 FICHTEL & SACHS SCHWEINFURT
14364 M1862 Dreyse triform socket bayonet. Has been rusted and wire wheeled leaving a rough exterior that is well represented in the close pic of the ricasso. There are a few nicks on the shank, especially where it meets the socket. Again, see pic. Otherwise undamaged and locking ring turns freely.
14399 S98 Quillback bayonet with scabbard. SAXON FA 12 spine mark. Ricasso marked "W.K & CIE" over "SOLINGEN". Blade sharpened but not ground.
14558 S98/05aAmS LEATHER bodied scabbard only. Has the unique throatpiece specifically for the sawback bayonet. Leather is shrunk 14mm and has a fold 1/3 of the way down from the throat. The throatpiece is missing it's staples and is detached but the leather is undamaged. The tip remains attached with staples intact but does wiggle. Top and bottom fitting have been painted black and have rust, dings and pitts.
14631 S98 Quillback bayonet. P.D. LUNESCHLOSS SOLINGEN SEE LISTING IN THE UNIDENTIFIED SECTION AT THE END OF THE LAST PAGE OF BAYONETS
14633 S71/84 Dress bayonet. Kirschbaum (Knight's head) on ricasso. FUNCTIONAL bayonet mounts and dismounts smoothly. Plating 95% intact. Blade remains unsharpened.
14719 S71/84 bayonet leather SCABBARD ONLY. Unit mark 94.R.8.31. and clear Imperial inspectors' marks on steel throatpiece. Tip fitting also has the inpectors' mark. Top fitting is a little loose but not falling off. Stitching is intact and there is no shrinkage to the leather.
14742 S14mS bayonet with scabbard. SAMSON WERK. SAWBACK INTACT.
12745 S98/05nA bayonet with scabbard. FICHTEL & SACHS SCHWEINFURT with BAVARIAN L17 spine mark. Bayonet was blued and screwbolts were slotted but no "1920" was added to the crossguard. Scabbard is missing the throat screw. Scabbard also has crossed out former NAVY UNIT MARK "S.B. 10274." The face of the scabbard throat and the butt of the pommel also have 2 digit rack numbers added which I suspect are also Naval but they do not match. Blade remains unsharpened and free of rust or pitting. Hilt has a few rust spots, some pitts and nicks on the pommel. Scabbard rusty with some pitting and generally battered with numerous shallow dents. This one has definitely been around the block more than once.
13606 S84/98 bayonet with MATCHING scabbard. 43asw sn 4876 hh. Wooden grips retained with screws in split nuts. Blade remains unsharpened.
14006 S84/98 bayonet SCABBARD ONLY E.u.F. HORSTER 1938 sn 1860t
14521 M1938 Dress bayonet SCABBARD ONLY
14622 S84/98 bayonet with FACTORY MISMATCHED scabbard. NEAR MINT. Bayonet is marked 43asw with sn 6517u. Scabbard is marked 44asw with sn 6567u. SINGLE WaA518 on pommel. Finish is wonderfully crude late war 1943-1944 transitional production. Red bakelite grips retained with typical screws in split nuts. The 43/44 bayonet and scabbard combinations are hard enough to find but the mis-struck 3rd digit in the serial numbers is just fantastic. Note that I am saying this IS a matching set that was misnumbered at the factory.
14628 S84/98 bayonet with Matching scabbard and frog. S/240G with sn 3215a. Frog is brown and the WaAs are early droop wing types numbered 137. The scabbard is a former Imperial example that was force matched to the bayonet and the throat screw replaced with a WWII era screw but left in the face of the scabbard instead of being moved to the side. I believe this to be an early Luftwaffe issued bayonet based on the brown frog. Blade remains unsharpened. Frog is missing all 4 riveted but remains solid and pliable.
14629 S84/98 bayonet with Matching scabbard and frog. S.178G with sn 2911f. Blade has been sharpened. Grips and screws are replacements. I'm not sure if they are original grips or repros but the screws and nuts are Spanish and are ill fitting. The frog has no markings and was m,ade without rivets. It may be a repro but if it is, it's is quite old.
14720 S84/98 leather frog. Carter's number 311. Dark brown leather, probably Luftwaffe, with 2 slots cutout in the face of the frog for a retention strap but the strap was either removed or never added. 4 aluminum rivets at the weak points but one is a bubba replacement using a pop rivet. Marked on the back "5.3" in a box over "1" There is some popped stitching but the seams remain solid and leather is pliable and sturdy with no crazing.
13908 S28p bayonet with scabbard. Captured Polish WZ28 Emergency bayonet dated 1939. The only modifications the Germans made were to move the throatscrew on the scabbard to the side and blue the bayonet and scabbard as opposed to the original Phosphate finish. See listing under POLAND.
14022 S103f bayonet with MATCHING scabbard. Brass grip. Former French Mle. 1886/15 bayonet with blade and scabbard shortened by the Germans.
14566 S24j bayonet with scabbard and frog. Former Yugo M1924 with muzzle ring removed and left with high ears. No ricasso marking so it was probably made for export but had not been delivered before the Germans took over. Frog is a brown German S84/98 frog but is almost back with age. One of the frog rivets is popped and shown in the pics.
14722 S24t bayonet with scabbard. Very early VZ24 bayonet with CSZ on left ricasso and E(lion)24 on right ricasso. Circled Z on the left side of the crossguard. and serial number N6005 on the finger edge of the tang. Bayonet is unaltered as is the scabbard but the scabbard's frog hook is marked WaA83. Blade pitted and sharpened. Hilt rusty and pitted. Scabbard rusty and pitted. Sounds bad but it's not quite in relic condition.

Blade has been improperly sharpened and the forward half shows some grinding striations. The striations are not bad on the left side but the right side looks like they were worse and subsequently were buffed over to lessen the damage. The whole right forward half of the blade is left bright as a result.

Scabbard is an EFD produced almond stud type with external steel tip dated 1909 and also bearing the mustered out of service mark on the leather. Blade is stone sharpened but not ground and shows extensive use but not abuse or damage. Hilt has mild pitting and grips show honest wear. Blade is peppered with rust stains but no actual pitting.

13633 P1876 triform socket bayonet with scabbard. Bayonet in great condition but scabbard is junk with worn out, fragile leather that has been held together with clear packing tape on it's lower half.
13672 No.4 MkI CRUCIFORM spike bayonet with scabbard and frog. GUARANTEED ORIGINAL. SINGER MANUFACTURING. Markings are weak but discernable. GR Crown SM on elbow and US2 on the other side. 13753 STEN MKII Bayonet with scabbard and frog. B&J.S.L. on the spring. GUARANTEED FAKE. Frog is a later green one but dated 1945. Graham Priest identified these as high quality fakes in his book "Spirit of the Pike". It truly is a remarkable reproduction and I was fooled when I bought it from a seller who readily identified it as a fake. Despite that, I still thought it was genuine until I fixed it on a STEN MkII SMG and found it ill fitting compared to bona fide genuine examples I have on hand. The "tell" when mounting it is that the real ones lock up tight and these fakes rattle up and down the barrel a few millimeters. This is not one of the current production fakes which can be spotted a mile away by their flat finger guard. Great piece for a re-enactor or someone interested in documenting fakes.
13767 P1907 bayonet with scabbard. HOOK QUILLON Wilkinson 3/09. Pommel marked S.L. over R454. Blade it really rough having been badly pitted. Hilt is better but the right grip is pretty beaten up.
13852 P1907 bayonet with scabbard. VICKERS 8/17. Scabbard top fitting marked RE in a box. The sides of the throatpiece have been dented but function is not affected.
13853 P1913 bayonet with scabbard and leather frog. REMINGTON 2/16. Retaining loop on frog is broken. Scabbard is a former US M1917 with hooks removed and has been coated with a black varnish-like substance on the leather. The tip fitting still has the US "GF" in an oval mark.
13934 No.4 MkI CRUCIFORM spike bayonet with scabbard and frog. GUARANTEED ORIGINAL. SINGER MANUFACTURING. "G Crown R" over "No4 MKI" over "SM" on elbow and very faint "US2" on the other side. Release button marked "SM" over "41". Frog markings are too faint to make sense of.
13961 No.4 MkIII bayonet with scabbard.
14065 P1907 scabbard only. Round button with black leather body marked "W" for "wax impregnated" with no other readable markings. The fittings were finished with gloss black paint which is flaking off revealing some traces of the original dull black finish but mostly just bare steel.
14212 P1907 bayonet with scabbard. VICKERS 4/18 NO REHAB MARKS
14247 No.5 Jungle carbine bayonet with scabbard WSC. Arsenal rehabbed with new slab side (later type) grips. Black painted hilt and scabbard and frost finished blade. Looks brand new and is so nice I really had to compare it hard to the others in my collection because I was afraid it might be a fake. Rest assured it is genuine. (Special THANKS to Bill Porter who has added that these were FTRed in the 1970s for use on Sterling SMGs)
14248 P1907 bayonet with scabbard. EFD 4/13 Hooked Quillon Removed and clearing hole added to pommel. Rehab dates of 1924 and 1931. Original almond stud scabbard also had it's throatpiece changed to a round stud but the tip is still an old RE marked example.
