GERMANY, IMPERIAL (Includes previously separate
German States)
Please also see my "AFGHANISTAN" section of
this web page for more German bayonets. Particularly more Ersocs.
I am selling the examples listed in green text with three digit item numbers
for a friend who acquired them while serving in Afghanistan. Regardless
of whether they have Afghan markings added or not they are all deemed to
have been Afghan reissued. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!

9851 German reissued Russian Ob.91 Mosin Nagant bayonet with German
zinc scabbard. Top of socket marked "N132045" which I originally
felt was an Imperial Kreigsmarine Nordsee Fleet marking but this has not
bourne out to be correct in light of further research and a LOT of help
from my fellow BCN members who are better versed on the Kreigsmarine subject
than I. Regardless of my original misidentification the marking is
very unusual and I do believe it to be German. Bayonet is also Russian
TULA arsenal marked with the small Hammer marking. Bayonet is in
good issued condition showing use but no abuse. Bluing is 75% or
better and there is no rust or pitting. Scabbard has a big dent 145mm
from the tip but it does not affect function. Scabbard throat is
intact and it appears to have been produced WITHOUT the ball tip.
Black paint is chipping but 50% intact. I believe the paint to be
original Naval as the army used "feldgrau" color as opposed to black BUT
I want to state that my information on the subject of paint colors is also
somewhat speculative. Additional information about this piece would be
very welcome;-)

10448 S84/98aA FIRST pattern bayonet. Former S71/84 bayonet converted
to S84/98. C.G.HAENAL SUHL ricasso marking. W87 spine mark.
UNIT MARKED "I.E.2.63" which I interpret to be "Inspektion
der Ersatz-Truppe des 2 Armeekorps, waffen #63" or "Supervision of a Replacement
Troop of 2 Army Corps, weapon #63" using Jeff Noll's guidebook. Poor
condition and badly sharpened but not quite a relic. Still a reasonably
scarce bayonet with neat obscure unit marking for you guys collecting Imperial
unit marked stuff.

10670 German re-issued Ob1891 bayonet with German steel scabbard. Sestroretskij
Oruzhejnyj Zavod (Sestroretsk's weapons factory) also called "Sestroretsk"
(Thanks to Kirill B. in Latvia for correcting my spelling of the arsenal
name.) Scabbard is not the wide zinc type. This is the tubular
steel type with German style frogstud more like those on the S84/98 scabbards.

reworked.
